Description
Simple, intuitive and addictive, Zombiotik is the tag couch game which will make your living room a meeting place for you and your friends. In a colorful and minimalist universe, up to 8 players try to survive as long as possible to the epidemics triggered by a contaminated yogurt cargo by placing walls and barricades on their way. Catched by the undead? Join the horde of zombies you tried to outwit and prevent the other players to win the game!
History
Zombiotik was at PAX East - Boston, MA - Mar 28 - 31, 2019
The guys from Totema Studio traveled 500 miles to present the game to more than a thousand amazing people at PAX East, Boston. The reception was incredible and a lot of games were played at 8 players. Someone even said it was the best game he saw at PAX and pledged $200 on our Kickstarter campaign right away.

It makes me scream a lot

We started by creating a sandbox with simple mechanics, we concentrated on the controls to make an amazing experience. We had to figure out how 8 players could play locally and make sure they always have something to do; we carefully crafted our game modes to enables this.

We combined two styles into a single game. We give the players a clear cartoon image to guide their way, then we switch to 3d voxel while ingame so the player's imagination does the rest
Samuel Taillon, Art director, -
We built a stable and flexible playground so it's easy for us to add on top of it. Although the mechanics are simple and the gameplay is tight, the real fun begins when you hear a friend scream as you infect their character by surprise.
Maxime Boudreault, Lead developer, -
